Terms of Service

1. The service

Archetype Individual is a personal learning workspace: you can save, organize, study, and search your own library of content, and use AI-assisted features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
• You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and all activity under it.
• Provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Your content & intellectual property

• You own your content. The notes, libraries, and research you create remain yours.
• You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process your content solely to operate the service for you (including sending it to AI providers when you invoke AI features).
• Our IP. The software, design, brand, and original materials are owned by Archetype Individual LLC and protected by law. Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer them.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to save and use any third-party content in your library, consistent with that content's terms and copyright law.

4. Acceptable use

Your use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate it or the law.

5. AI features

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is not professional adviceand you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. See our Disclaimer.

6. Payments, plans & renewals

• Paid plans are billed through Stripe per the pricing shown at purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current period.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
• Founding/lifetime access is for the lifetime of the service and is subject to these Terms.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content or AI output is accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Archetype Individual LLC and its officers, members, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Archetype Individual LLC from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or risk to the service or others. Some provisions (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) survive termination.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Archetype Individual LLC agree to resolve disputes through binding individual arbitration and to waive class actions, except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court or for intellectual-property matters. Where arbitration is not enforceable, the state and federal courts located in New Mexico will have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, notified to you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
